Ranking My 3D Printed Fidgets from Mr. Tudors

1. Flexi Articulated Heart

This fidget is my most recent gift, Mr. Tudors gave Abby, Logan, and I each one for the season of Valentines day. It is a fun little red toy that moves in small blocks. It makes a nice rattling noise and feels satisfying to hold. The shape makes it easy to play with in either of your hands and it is the first one that someone asks to hold when I take out my fidget toys. If I got anymore 3d printed objects, I would want it to be similar to this one.

2. Blue and white spinning toy

This fidget is the gorgeous colors of teal and white. The teal part spins and and you can put it on your pointer and middle finger. Using your thumb, you rotate it around the circles and it spins. It is not distracting and very portable. It is also silent so you can secretly play with it during class. I love it so much. The size of it is very nice and makes it useful to anyone who wants it. This is my most borrowed fidget toy by my friends too.

3. Flexi Articulated Susie the Starfish

This is a remodel of “Flexi Articulated Starfish”, but now it has a face and the pieces are thinner and easier to move. The original model was fun but extremely fragile because the spots in between the blocks were thin. Mr. Tudors was able to find a better type and now it is awesome. It is also lighter and feels cooler.

4. Moving Square Cube

This was my first ever fidget gifted by Mr. Tudors. After Abby, Logan, and I took interest in the fidget box he told us he had made extras of these. This sparked my interest and made me begin to love them. It is small squares lined up to where they can spin inside each other. It is a pink, purple color and very accessible. It does not make any noise either. It is semi fragile though so you mist be careful when playing with it.

My Favorite Starbucks food and drinks

Iced Chai Latte

This is my all time go to drink. I enjoy it with oat milk, cinnamon, and vanilla sweet cold foam. This drink makes my day automatically better and it is yummy to sip or chug. It has the perfect flavor of spices but more cinnamon based. The oat milk gives it almost more of a natural flavor instead of it becoming more bland with 2 percent milk.

Pink Drink

This is my summer drink. I prefer it with coconut milk because if you just get water with it then it makes a lot of the flavor go away. I also remove the dried strawberry inclusions they add because the texture kind of freaks me out and I do not like them. With my special changes this drink is top tier.

Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

This is the best basic drink there is. You can obviously add really anything to it if you want because it is such a versatile base for all. Even alone though with just the vanilla flavor, it is so good. I get this drink when I want something other than just an iced drink and I always end up finishing all of it.

Bacon Egg Bites

Although eggs are usually just associated with breakfast, these delicious bite sized treats are good for eating whenever and wherever. They are so fluffy and I genuinely savor every bite and get sad when I have none left. They are great if you are on the go and need a good little grab.

I hope they never get rid of these because they also have egg white ones but they do not hit the same.

Everything Bagels

I feel like these are extremely underrated but if you get this toasted and add cream cheese they are a perfect study snack. When I need to lock in to write a paper or get homework done, I take my stuff to starbucks and pair an everything bagel with the yummy cream cheese and get a chai latte and I cannot think of anything better.

Giving up Candy for Lent

By: Anna Kate Coker

I decided to give up all types of candy for lent. This has been challenging because I really do love a good sweet treat. I will be describing my journey of the first three days.

Day one I did not have too much trouble. I was not exposed to any candy options and had a pretty healthy day. I was not tempted into buying any so I was staying strong.

Day Two I almost broke. First period goes by, followed by second and then ten minute break. Just as I am bragging to my friends about how I will NOT mess it up, I walk into AP Literature. My good friend, Emily Mason, has blessed everyone in the class with a two pack of Reeses on our desk. This was so sweet but I could not give in. Abby Bradley looked at me knowing my promise that I was not going to eat it, so I slowly put it in my bookbag. I did not eat the Reeses and continued to stay serious.

Day Three I made a mistake. I did not slip up at any time during the school day and enjoyed some delicious Chick Fil A with McKenzie Gray during my study hall. As the day progressed, it got more difficult. I was offered a piece of chocolate and without thinking I almost ate it. I caught myself last minute though and made a safe recovery of throwing it away. I was persistent on not eating any candy until I got distracted by the delicious taste of Cookout. Sophie and I decided we wanted a good Cookout treat when we were bored and had nothing to do. The woman working the drive thru asked me what I wanted and without thinking twice I said “an m&m Milkshake please”. I forgot that add-ins on milkshakes are candy. It was too late. I already paid and ate a spoonful. I can’t throw away such an amazing purchase so I guess I have to eat it. This left me with the question… do m&m’s count as candy in a milkshake or am I still following my path of lent?

My Favorite Drawings

By: Anna Kate Coker

Throughout my highschool years, I have taken Drawing classes including Drawing 1 freshman year, Drawing 2 sophomore year, Drawing 3 junior year and ultimately AP drawing this year. I have done different projects including graphite, colored pencil, and charcoal.

Sight

This graphite drawing illustrates the theme of sight. I took the reference photo of a boy covering his face but opening his hands slightly to where his eyes are the main part exposed. This choice leads the viewer to focus on his eyes. I used a blurred background to contrast with the detail on the face, making a dark ambiance surrounding him. I chose to use graphite for this project in order to keep the black, grey, and white color palette to make it feel dramatic.

Locker Room

This colored pencil drawing portrays a locker room, filled with basketball jerseys and shoes. When taking the reference picture, I put a brighter color filter over it, giving me the ability to make the original, dull picture a vivid and bright color complexity. This challenged me to blend opposite colors together to create a multicolored piece of artwork. I chose colored pencil for the medium in this drawing so I could have more options and colors on the spectrum.

Duke

This detailed colored pencil drawing pictures a Great Dane. I decided to choose to draw this in color so I could get all of the undertones of the dog’s fur. Using blues, reds, yellows, greens, and purples, I laid each color down in different spots creating dimension and layering to the black fur. I had to find the undertones I additionally added the background, giving it a blurred effect to keep the dog as the center focus.

Swimmer

I created “The Swimmer” to illustrate human movement in an active motion. The swimmer, portrayed through graphite, pushes through the water creating splashes and waves. This depicts this person gliding in the pool with the strength to pull himself forward. With every stretch the swimmer takes, the liquid moves equally. I contrasted the graphite with blue colored pencil to add more depth.

Ranking Celsius Flavors- Livefit Edition

By: Anna Kate Coker

CELSIUS ESSENTIALS, Sparkling Sunset ...

3. Fruit Burst

This flavor was extremely underwhelming in comparison to the cosmic vibe, claiming the flavor to also be fruit punch. It tasted like a sugar free version which is terrible because it’s not even sugar free. It tastes like a watered down version of Hawaiian Punch. The only thing it has going for it is that it is bigger so it has a larger caffeine amount. Even with that main factor it doesn’t matter because you would not finish it regardless so the caffeine amount will not affect you. The packaging is ugly so it does not even make up for the lame taste. The pattern is not cute and it just makes me miss the original packaging.

2.Orangesicle

This flavor is alright. It tastes more flavorful than the original orange but a little too sweet. It is a weird flavor to make when they already have Fantasy Vibe and Orange, so are they just running out of ideas? This one is more tolerable so it does come in clutch that the packaging is bigger. Ultimately, I would rather just buy the normal orange flavor with the normal can because that is already enough for me. They could have made the cans more appealing with fruits and designs instead of just the color stripe because it no longer stands out.

1.Mango Tango

This drink scores number one out of this pack but would not place high at all in comparison to the other celsius flavors. The only reason I genuinely like it is because it reminds me of two other drinks — Monster Mango Loco and Arizona Mucho Mango. I do enjoy a good mango flavor and they did somewhat get it right. I would not put it over the other flavored mango drinks I listed but it also would not be the worst alternative choice if all else failed. The con is that it is easy to get sick of and I feel like the amount that it comes with really is the main factor of this outcome. Overall it is a decent drink but still never a podium one when it comes to the whole variety.

My Favorite Places to get a Sweet Treat

By: Anna Kate Coker

Creamy Eggless Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe ...

When it is late at night, I fall into the trap of craving a sweet treat. Whether it is ice cream, a yummy drink, brownies, chocolate, candy, or a milkshake, I love to indulge into a good sweet. I will be listing my favorite places to buy a delicious treat for myself.

  1. Sweet Frog

They are so underrated and have literally anything you can desire. They have different fruit frozen yogurts, cake batter, cheesecake, oreo, cotton candy, and so many more. You can pair this with any toppings of your choice. They are not open too long at night so you have to be quick with your decision making of when you want to go. They are luckily open in the winter and summer. I love Sweet Frog even if it is not as popular as it used to be.

  1. Cookout

It is a great place for food, but I will specifically be talking about their milkshakes. Cookout has sixty different flavors and even on top of that, you can mix them too. Paired with a side of fries, their milkshakes are served very thick so it is preferred to eat it with a spoon. My personal go to is the chocolate chip cheesecake milkshake. It is truly a taste of heaven.

  1. McDonalds

This place has everything, but if I am wanting a sweet treat at night, their ice cream machine better be working. I love a good m&m mcflurry because these will always satisfy me. The parking lot at night is a little scary, but if you can get past that then you have got yourself a scrumptious snack on your hands. If I am feeling a little adventurous, I also enjoy the oreo mcflurry as well. Additionally, if I want a more day time sweet treat, I also think their mango smoothie and strawberry banana smoothie have a great taste.

Thanksgiving Food Power Rankings

By: Anna Kate Coker

Thanksgiving Day | Meaning, History ...

Now that Thanksgiving break has come to an end and I have had my fair share of Thanksgiving themed lunches and dinners, I have decided to rank my favorites to least favorites food items. I feel like I have gained a great understanding of what deserves the top pedistoles and what doesn’t.

  1. Mac and Cheese

I do not know how good the mac and cheese is at other families’ gatherings but my grandma makes the best mac and cheese in the whole world. Normally, it would not be getting my top overall choice but this year it was just even better than the previous. The mac ratio and the cheese ratio was just perfect so thank you Mimi for giving me this delicious food.

  1. Sweet Potato Casserole (specifically with pecans and brown sugar on top)

During my Thanksgiving lunch at Uncle Billy’s pond house, I decided to put a spoonful on my plate. It was so good I had to go back and get more. The toppings made it even better with the scrumptious sugary goodness. Whoever made this dish deserves a Christmas gift this year from me because it changed my life.

  1. Ham

Turkey is overrated. Ham is the way to go and I am not just saying this because I am biased and have worked at Honey Baked Ham. Paired with the hickory honey mustard it is so good. Heat it up and put it on a biscuit and it is just the best thing ever. I will pick ham over turkey every single time.

  1. Mashed Potatoes

Lowkey, mashed potatoes can deserve to be placed higher but without the accompaniment of the other 3 food items, it just is not that good alone. I prefer them without gravy and more on the buttery and creamy side so they still make my list, but not on the top three.

Reviewing Bojangles

By: Anna Kate Coker

Bojangles is a beloved fast food restaurant, catering towards chicken fingers and fries lovers. It is an easy choice everyone loves, and will never disappoint.

Bojangles Chicken Fingers:

They are so delicious and are cooked so perfectly. If you pair it with their honey mustard sauce, the flavor is the most amazing thing you have ever tasted. I will always rate them a 10/10 and will continue to buy them. When someone asks me what I want to get from Bojangles, you can best believe I am asking for three chicken tenders. It is a blessing to catch the scent of them from my kitchen. My sister values this food more than anything else and will gladly tell anyone.  “Oh my gosh Bojangles chicken fingers are my favorite food” -Ellis Coker.

Bojangles Fries:

Their fries have the best ratio of seasoning, matched with the superior potato taste. Along with my chicken tenders, I love to eat some of the fries also with my honey mustard. “Yeah if I had to pick a side to go along with my meal, fries are my number one” -Logan Mims. “You can’t get chicken tenders without the fries, it’s like eating a pb&j sandwich without the jelly.” -McKenzie Gray Mills. I rate their fries a 10/10 and they are a taste of heaven.

Bojangles Sweet Tea:

This is the ultimate thirst quencher. It flushes down the rest of your food, leaving your mouth with the most delicious taste ever. They keep the ice to sweet tea ratio very nice, making sure you don’t end up with your drink watered down. I rate their Sweet Tea a 10/10, it never falls short of being cold and sweet. “I will get my kids a Bojangles 3 Piece Supreme anytime because I know they love it!” -Cary Coker. The whole Coker family praises this restaurant all day and all night.

Ranking CELSIUS Sparkling Variety Pack (Orange, Wild Berry, Kiwi Guava)

By: Anna Kate Coker

3. Wild Berry

Either I just completely overused this flavor and got sick of it, but it just starts to taste like febreeze in a drink. I think the drink is just not good and is too sweet, but in a fake way. I am not a fan of this celsius and I will never choose this one. If I walk into a CVS, Walgreens, any gas station, and this is the only flavor I would just rather not get one at all. I despise this flavor and it is gross.

2. Kiwi Guava

This is an okay flavor, it is not that bad, but it is not a top choice. Honestly, This flavor pack just isn’t very good in general, so I am giving it some mercy. I only really drink this celsius if it is gifted to me, I will never spend my own money on it. The kiwi almost gives a banana flavor, which is a little weird backed up with guava. I have never actually had guava though, so I am blindly tasting this drink.

3. Orange

This celsius gets the top ranking because this pack is bad, but also, this one is actually good. This flavor is found in many places and is very generic. If someone offers to buy me a celsius and asks what flavor, I usually do go with this option just because I can depend on it being stocked in places, but I can never get sick of it. It is similar to a Fanta but the orange does not taste too fake. Unlike Body Armor, it does not taste too much like healthy orange juice or like a thicker concentrate. It is a very delicious drink and I can also rely on it quenching my thirst.
