NFL Super Bowl Prediction

By: Henry Jones

After a long summer break off of cranking out entertaining blogs for everyone in the digital media class, I have had time to refresh my thoughts on my ground breaking sports takes. Which means I am ready to drop more predictions on major sports events such as the Super Bowl. My first prediction of the year is a bold one. Normally I would show bias and say that the Arizona Cardinals (my favorite team) would be taking home the hardware this year, but new year new me. I do believe Cardinals have a good chance at winning the division, the offense just isn’t fully there yet. Now, there are many teams I feel have a shot at the Super Bowl this year. One is the winners of last year, the Philadelphia Eagles. They are still a very strong team despite losing key pieces on defense. Another team, as always, is the Kansas City Chiefs. In my opinion, any team with Patrick Mahomes at the helm is a Super Bowl contender cause he is a straight dog. A negative about this team is Travis Kelce recently getting engaged to that witch, Taylor Swift. Whenever they started dating she stole all his talent and turned him into some hermit crab. Finally, I truly believe that the New York Jets have a real shot this year at the Super Bowl. They have two up and coming offensive linemen and two stud running backs. Also with the addition of Justin Fields they have very solid quarterback play that they haven’t had in multiple years. In conclusion, with the adding of all these new, young pieces, I’d be willing to bet the life of Milling Galloway that the Jets will be taking home the gold this year. This is easy money.

Super Bowl Review

By: Knox Buxton

This year’s Super Bowl was a rematch from 2023 between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs were comin off of back to back Super Bowl wins against Philadelphia and San Francisco. Everyone I had talked to about the Super Bowl this year said they thought the Chiefs were going to get it, especially after going 15-2 in the regular season. I called the Super Bowl back at the beginning of the season and said it would be Philiadelphia and Kansas City and Philadelphia would win. I knew once the Eagles added Saquon Barkley and having one of the best defenses in the league, they had too many weapons. The game started out with both teams being forced to punt. The Eagles got on the board first with a tush push touchdown by Jalen Hurts. A few drives later, Jalen Hurts threw an interception and that is when I thought the Chiefs would start heating up and make it an entertaining game to watch, but I was wrong. Philadelphia forced a three and out and then Jalen Hurts hooked up with AJ Brown for a long passing play and it ended up with the Eagles scoring a field goal to go up ten to nothing. The next drive, Patrick Mahomes threw a pick six to rookie cornerback, Cooper Dejean. Once the Eagles took a seventeen to nothing lead and looked unstoppable, I knew it would be hard for the Chiefs to come back. Right before halftime, Patrick Mahomes threw another interception to Zack Baun on their own side of the field and it led to an AJ Brown receiving touchdown. When the Eagles went up 24-0 at halftime, I knew the game was just about over. The Eagles were dominating every aspect of the game and pressuring Mahomes consistently. The second half was really just more of the same with Philadelphia taking a 34-0 lead before the Chiefs started padding the stats. Kansas City’s last second stat padding was made them able to make the game a little closer before losing 40-22. Jalen Hurts won the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player even though I thought there were a lot of Eagle player that I thought deserved it. In my opinion, I would have just given it to the whole defensive line after how they got after Patrick Mahomes and forced him into making bad plays. I sincerely enjoyed watching the Eagles Beat down the Chiefs and showing everyone Kansas City isn’t all that.

WHY THE EAGLES?

By: Carson Wilsey

The Philadelphia Eagles are making their return, and they appear ready to win, so this year’s Super Bowl showdown is sure to be thrilling. The Eagles’ strong and well-rounded roster has been on full display throughout the season. With both his arm and his legs, quarterback Jalen Hurts has shown himself to be one of the league’s most dynamic athletes. Hurts has provided the Eagles an advantage that other teams have found difficult to match because of his ability to prolong plays and make critical decisions under stress. The Eagles are among the most powerful teams in the NFL in a significant way because of Hurts’ athleticism, poise, and development as a passer.

The Eagles’ defense, in addition to Hurts, is a key component of their chances of winning the Super Bowl. With exceptional players such as Jordan Davis,a beast of a d-lineman, among their roster, the team has an intimidating defensive line. One of the Eagles’ greatest strengths this season has been their ability to consistently put pressure on opposing quarterbacks, and this ability will be vital in the Super Bowl. Additionally, their defense is excellent at stopping the run and covering passes, which makes it hard for opponents to establish a rhythm. Philadelphia’s defense will be difficult for any offense to overcome because of its strong blend of youthful energy and experience, which enables them to contain some of the most electric teams.

The Eagles, led by head coach Nick Sirianni, are a well-coached group in addition to having outstanding athletic ability on the field. Sirianni has continuously placed his players in successful situations and demonstrated remarkable game management abilities, because of his innovative and flexible playcalling, the Eagles have been able to succeed in a variety of offensive and defensive schemes. Sirianni’s ability to remain composed under pressure will be essential during the Super Bowl, and his leadership has helped his players perform at their highest level. The Eagles are ready for victory because they have a quality squad, excellent coaching, and the capacity to perform well under pressure. They are destine to take down the Cheifs and end their hope at a three peatnin this year’s Super Bowl because of their  well-balanced roster and outstanding coaching.

Who Will Win the Super Bowl

By: Stirling Tindal

The 56th Super Bowl is this Sunday and the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are sitting at a record of 14-3 and have by far the best running back in the league. The Chiefs have a 15-2 record and really don’t have any outstanding players this year, but Patrick Mahomes and Andy Ried always find a way to win games.

I believe that this will be a close game with a higher score because of both teams’ explosive offenses. By the end of the first quarter I predict that the score will be 10-7 Eagles. Saquon will start off hot because the Chiefs won’t fully know how to stop him; however after the first quarter they will figure things out.

At half time it will be tied 17-17 with the second quarter ending with a last second Chiefs field goal. Both teams will have a great first half with many yards on offense. The key to winning the second half is who is disciplined enough to stop either of these offenses consistently.

Entering the third quarter, I believe that whichever team receives the ball will have a huge turnover in the red zone on the opening drive. It won’t be a super thrilling third quarter and the score will be 24-17 Chiefs. At this point Andy Reid will have figured out how to stop Saquon, getting rid of the Eagles X-factor. With our Saquon controlling the game, the Eagles won’t be able to get anything going.

In the fourth quarter, the key to winning the game will be turnovers. Both teams will need to hold on to the ball and not make dumb decisions. The game will most certainly come down to the wire. I predict there will be two touchdown scoring drives by both teams in the final two minutes. The Chiefs will have the first touchdown in the two minutes, thinking they can hold on to the lead. Jalen Hurts will then lead the Eagles offense down the field in a final 30 seconds drive to win the game 34-31.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will not be able to three-peat and Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will start a new dynasty.

Super Bowl Predictions

By: Cooper Scott

My Super Bowl predictions are the Chiefs are going to beat Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, also predict some of the betting lines. The first betting line is that the national anthem will go under 2 minutes. The opening kickoff will be a touchback. Taylor Swift will be shown on camera more than 4 times. I will also predict that the eagles will get the ball first. The first quarter on the opening drive of the game after the eagles get two first downs Jalen Hurts will throw an interception to Trent Mcduffie on the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes will get his first drive of the Super Bowl and take his team down the field and Harrison Butker will kick a field goal and make it. The eagles will get on offense once again and Jalen Hurts is going to throw a Touchdown pass to Devonta smith. The Chiefs are going to go three and out and that is the end of the first quarter. On the Eagles opening Drive of the second quarter Saquon is going to tote the rock all the way down the field and the Eagles will settle for a field goal. So with 9 minutes to go in the 2nd Quarter the score is Eagles 10 Chiefs 3. The Chiefs are going to have a long drive all the way down the field and will score a touchdown with Travis Kelce. Jalen Hurts will have 2 minutes and is going to go down the field and the eagles will settle for a field goal. The score at halftime will be 10- 13 Eagles. The opening drive of the third quarter the chiefs are going to go all the down the field and score a touchdown with Isiah Pacheco. The Eagles are going to throw an interception, and the and the chiefs are going get a field goal and go up 20 to 13. The Eagles are going to go three and out, and the chiefs are going to throw an interception, and there will be a big momentum swing. Saquon Barkely breaks a 40 yard touchdown run and that’s the end of the 3rd quarter. Both the Chiefs and Eagles next drives end with a three and out, and the Chiefs get the ball and Xavier Worthy scores a touchdown ,and the Eagles will get a field goal. So with 5 minutes left the score is 30-27 the eagles. The Chiefs will get the ball and come to a 4th and 11 and throw up a deep ball and get a pass interference. Patrick Mahomes will run for a touchdown and the Chiefs will go up 34-30. Jalen Hurts will choke and throw an interception and the Chiefs will win the Superbowl.

Reasons for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Victory in Super Bowl LVIII

By Tyler Jordan

As anticipation for Super Bowl LVIII grows, the Kansas City Chiefs are in a position to create history once more. The Chiefs have everything they need for another championship run, including an outstanding roster, a head coach with a clear vision, and a starting quarterback who is rapidly claiming his place among the greatest in football history.

Patrick Mahomes is the dog behind Kansas City’s success. Perhaps the NFL’s most captivating player is who is currently MVP of the Super Bowl. He stands out from other quarterbacks due to their capacity to execute accurate throws from any platform under pressure. Mahomes is almost tough to defend because of his strategic skills, arm power, and mobility. Very few teams can match the Chiefs advantage under Mahomes’ leadership.

Also It is impossible to overestimate Andy Reid’s impact on the The Chiefs, one of the most successful and highly regarded coaches in NFL history. The foundation of Reid’s creative offensive strategies is flexibility and unpredictableness, which keeps opposition defenders guessing. The Chiefs’ success may be attributed in large part to its ability to adapt and make judgments during play that create scoring opportunities.

Additionally, Reid has constantly readied his squad for the most important situations. With his leadership skills and coaching experience in several Super Bowls, the Chiefs are prepared to manage pressure when it counts most.

The Chiefs have a roster full of talented players on both sides of the ball, even though Mahomes frequently takes center stage. One of the greatest tight ends of all time, Travis Kelce, is still Mahomes’ top target because he can cause mismatches everywhere on the field. With their big-play potential, the Chiefs’ wide receivers, such as Marquez Valdes-Scantling and the quick and elusive Kadarius Toney, put pressure on defenses.

Kansas City has improved in recent seasons on defense. The Chiefs can cause turnovers and disrupt opposing quarterbacks with players like Chris Jones leading the charge in the trenches. In addition to its offensive prowess, this well-rounded club can make game-changing plays on defense just as well.

Overall I say the Chiefs will win because they are used to this environment and have the coaching and players that can handle this stressful game.

Who Will Win The Super Bowl?

By: Henry Jones

The Super Bowl trophy is one of the most coveted awards in all of sports. Some would eve say that it is the greatest accomplishment. This upcoming Super Bowl will definitely be a great matchup between two formidable teams. If I’m being honest I really don’t want either of them to win because I hate the Chiefs and the Eagles. It’s a tough call, but if I had to guess, I’d say it could be a close game. The Eagles have a strong, well-rounded team with a solid defense and an explosive offense. But the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, and he’s always a threat. If Mahomes stays healthy and plays at his best, the Chiefs might have the edge. But overall, it could go either way depending on how the game plays out.

The Eagles could win the Super Bowl because they have a really strong all-around team. Their defense is tough and able to put pressure on quarterbacks, which could be a key factor against the Chiefs. Their offense is also high-powered, with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley playing at an MVP-level, and they have great weapons like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Plus, the Eagles have a strong offensive line that helps with both the running and passing game, making it tough for any defense to stop them. If they play solid, mistake-free football and control the line of scrimmage, they could come out on top.

On the other hand the Chiefs could win the Super Bowl because they have Patrick Mahomes, one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and he can make incredible plays under pressure. Even when things aren’t going perfectly, Mahomes can turn a game around with his arm and playmaking ability. On top of that, the Chiefs have an explosive offense with weapons like Travis Kelce, who is a big mismatch for any defense. Their defense has also stepped up in key moments, and if they can limit mistakes and take advantage of their opportunities, they could definitely win. Mahomes’ ability to perform in clutch moments is a huge reason they might come out on top.

Eagles vs Rams Game Review

By: Knox Buxton

The Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. The game started off with a long touchdown run by Jalen Hurts and the Eagles led 13-6 at the end of the first quarter. The game started off cold with clear weather, but the snow started coming down slowly. The Rams cut the Eagles’ lead to only three points at the end of the second quarter before Philadelphia drove down the field and got into field goal range right before the half. The Rams came up with two big sacks that pushed the Eagles back and out of field goal range so they could only go into halftime up 13-10. On the first possession  of the second half, the Rams drove right down the field and tied the game up with a field goal. The Eagles answered with a field goal right after that and took the lead 16-13. Towards the end of the third quarter, the Rams sacked Hurts for a safety to trail by just one point. The Eagles got two more field goals and then Saquon Barkley broke loose for a long touchdown run to make the lead 28-15 with four minutes left. Even though it seemed like the game was over, the Rams did not give up and quickly drove down the field and scored a touchdown to cut the Eagles lead to six. The Rams used up their timeouts and stopped the Eagles to get the ball back with two minutes left. The Rams drove back down the field and looked like they were about to score before getting sacked on third down. Stafford threw an incomplete pass to Puka Nacua and the Rams turned it over on downs to end the game. In my opinion, that game was one of the best NFL games I have watched in a long time. The game became very interesting once it started snowing at the end. You could tell that it was hard for both teams to play in the snow so there was a lot more running the ball. The only player that didn’t seem to be affected by the snow was Saquon Barkley. Saquon rushed for 205 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. After that game, it is clear to me that he is the best running back in the NFL. After all the excitement from that game, the Eagles have to get ready to face Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in the Conference Championship. Both teams are hot, but I think it will be the Eagles who get the job done and go to the super bowl. If Philadelphia keeps playing like this, I still believe they will win it all this year.

NFL playoffs rundown (1\13\25)

By: Benson Elmore

The NFL has been downright crazy this year, and its not cooling off anytime soon. Teams are going crazy like the Detroit Lions and the Kansas City Chiefs. The playoffs are now starting and the pressure is getting high and the excitement for a potential title is rising. Here’s a rundown of the playoffs and my predictions for this week.

Rams vs Vikings

The Rams and Vikings have an exciting matchup going on this week, with Sam Darnold going crazy and the Rams keeping composure. In this matchup I think it is gonna be a good game, but ultimately, I think that the Vikings are going to come away with the dub. The vikings have too many weapons to lose this game, like JJetas and Jordan Addison. I am taking the vikings 28-24.

Commanders vs Buccaneers

The buccaneers have a high seed in this playoff picture, and dominant players like Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, and Baker Mayfield. On the other hand, the Commanders have Jayden Daniels and Terry Mclaurin. In the end, I am gonna take Baker and the Bucs with the win in this one 21-14.

Eagles vs Green Bay

In this one I do not even think I have to give a rundown. The eagles are one of the most dominant teams in the league as of right now, and they are coming into this thing hot. Saquon Barkley almost set the single season rushing yards record for the regular season in his first year with the Eagles. The Eagles are gonna kill the Packers and it is not even gonna be close. When the Eagles win 22-10, remind everyone that Benson told you so.

Texans vs Chargers

In this matchup, I do not really see any team dominating this game, but I love me some CJ Stroud, even though he is not having a career defining season. In an absolute dogfight all night long, I am taking the Texans 14-10

Ravens vs Steelers

In this matchup, I am seriously not even going into depth about this one, because if you really think that the Steelers are even going to come close to winning this one, you are biased and do not know ball. Ravens 31-14.

Broncos vs Bills

In this game, I really want it to be close, because Bo Nix has made a statement that he is ready for the playoffs and he can be a franchise QB. Even though the Bills have Josh Allen and the higher seed and spread on their side, I am going to choose the Denver Broncos, though I would never see myself saying this. The Broncos this year have just surprised me too much not to take them. Give me the Broncos 24-21

NFL Predictions for the Rest of the Season

By: Knox Buxton

It is currently Week 11 in the NFL, and we are a little over halfway through the 18 week regular season. With that being said, I am going to give some of my opinions for what I think will happen for the rest of this season. To start, I am already predicting an Eagles vs. Chiefs Super Bowl. The Eagles offense looks too good for them not to make a deep run in  this postseason. With Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, AJ Brown, Dallas Goedert, and the addition of Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia has the best group of skill players in the league. The tush push with Jalen Hurts at Quarterback is one of the most unstoppable plays in football and with Barkley in the backfield with him there is so many possibilities of plays they can run.

On the other side, the Chiefs are still undefeated 10 Weeks through the season. They have the best Quarterback in the league in Patrick Mahomes and one of the best Tight Ends in Travis Kelce. They also have one of the top defenses which will make them hard to beat when the postseason comes. Another reason to believe Kansas City will make it to the Super Bowl is that Isiah Pacheco will be coming back from injury soon and they already have Kareem Hunt who is playing well right now too. With Pacheco coming back, it will give Kansas City two good running backs they can use. Another team I think will heat up towards the end of the season is the San Fransisco 49ers. They started their season a little rough, but with Christian McCaffrey coming back from injury, it will open up many more opprotunities for their offense. It is rough for them that they lost Brandon Aiyuk for the season so they will have to rely on receivers like Deebo Samuel, Brandon Jennings, and Ricky Pearsall to step up. They also have one of the best defenses in the league which will help them make a run towards the end of the season to get into the playoffs. Those three teams are teams to watch towards the end of the season and it will be fun to see how the rest of their season plays out.
