My Top Five Favorite Flavors of Ice Cream

My number one favorite flavor of ice cream is cotton candy. I love the pink and blue swirls that the ice cream consists of. The sweet cotton candy flavor always hits the spot when I am in need of a sweet treat. Baskin Robbins has the best cotton candy ice cream. Everytime I go there, I make sure to get the ice cream in a waffle cone— it makes it better. I know this tends to be an unpopular opinion for most people, but I truly believe that cotton candy is one of the most delicious ice cream flavors to ever exist.
Next, I find mint chocolate chip to be one of the best ice cream flavors. The light green color adds a nice touch while eating the ice cream. I like that the chocolate chips within are thin and flakey. This makes the ice cream texture more enjoyable when eating. Baskin Robbins also has the best mint chocolate chip ice cream in Sumter. I prefer to eat this flavor in a cup rather than a waffle cone.
Continuing, I really like birthday cake flavored ice cream. The best kind of birthday cake ice cream is the kind with rainbow sprinkles within. The rainbow colors are fun and make it visually appealing. I am not sure which store has the best birthday cake ice cream, but I do know that Sweet Frog has a good version of it. Although Sweet Frog is frozen yogurt, I still consider it ice cream. You can add in the sprinkles when you get the ice cream from Sweet Frog which I like because then I can add as much as I want. Overall, birthday cake ice cream has a simple flavor that you can not go wrong with.
Furthermore, the superman ice cream flavor is very delicious even though it is simply just vanilla. I learned that it was just vanilla ice cream last year and my perspective on it has greatly changed. It does not taste the same now. It is still good, but I do not enjoy it as much anymore. The blue, yellow, and red colors are a fun addition which add to the theme of the ice cream— superman. No place in Sumter offers this flavor, but there is a store in Garden City that serves it, and it is tasty. All in all, this is a mediocre ice cream flavor.
Finally, chocolate chip cookie dough is a great flavor that you can’t go wrong with if you get it. Having the chocolate chips and cookie dough bits throughout the vanilla ice cream adds a great touch to the texture. Baskin Robbins serves a yummy chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and I like to get it in a waffle cone. This is a classic flavor that most everyone enjoys. Although this is not my first pick, I do get it sometimes.

One of the most common desserts that people enjoy is ice cream. There have been so many flavors created to meet different preferences, some being better than others.

In last place is the flavor chocolate. Although it is a classic flavor that does have a variety of types to choose from, the richness and sweetness that most ice cream brands provide in this particular flavor, making it less appealing. Chocolate flavoring tends to be better when mixed with another flavor or topping, meaning it is not a stand alone flavor. Also due to it being such a common flavor people choose to switch it up when choosing to go for a dessert.

In fourth place is vanilla. This is another classic flavor that many people reach for when choosing an ice cream. Vanilla is a pleasing and smooth flavor that is not overwhelming and is usually the safe choice. However, due to this blandness vanilla is not number one. Vanilla ice cream is usually picked to be eaten with something, like pie, brownies, or another dessert. So the flavor itself is plain, and is not the top choice when it comes to choosing ice cream.

In third place is salted caramel. This flavor is very popular due to it not being overly sweet. Its salty component provides a balance making it more enjoyable for those who do not enjoy overpowering sweetness. The texture of this flavor also tends to be appealing to people, the smooth base mixed with the gooey caramel swirled together. Although this flavor does not place higher due to the strong caramel flavor, and the fact that the salt in the caramel makes the ice cream melt faster making it harder to enjoy.

In second place is cookies and cream. This flavor has a nice mixture of vanilla base and crunchy chocolate cookie pieces. Making the texture appealing with the chunks paired with the smooth vanilla. This ice cream flavor is also a good stand alone flavor making it a quick and easy dessert. However, due to the cookies added into this it may be over sweet at times, and the chocolate cookie may overpower the vanilla flavor.

The best ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip. This flavor has a refreshing cool taste that is perfect for a hot day. It has the perfect blend of sweetness due to the chocolate bits added into the minty base. Also with the chocolate chunks added it has a great texture, smooth with little bits to enjoy. It is preferred to be eaten alone, making it a superior flavor.

Ice cream is one of people’s favorite desserts worldwide. There are so many different flavors and toppings you can put on them. This is the top five best ice cream flavors of all time.

5. Starting off with number five we have birthday cake. This flavor is like a party in a bite. It’s super fun and colorful and tastes like vanilla ice cream with frosting and sprinkles. The only reason it’s not higher is because it can get a little sweet after a while. It is a great flavor to choose if you want something classic and festive.

4. At number four we have cookies and cream. This flavor is a classic that everyone loves. The mixture of the chocolate crunchy cookies and the sweet vanilla ice cream is simple but so good. It is the perfect combination of creamy, chewy, and sweetness. The only reason it’s not higher on the list is because it is a little basic, but that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious.

3. To start the top three flavors we have chocolate chip cookie dough. Eating chocolate chip cookie dough is already amazing as it is, but putting it in ice cream just makes it so much better. The chunks of cookie dough mixed with the vanilla ice cream is even better than cookies and cream. If you love cookies then chocolate chip cookie dough is the perfect flavor for you. The only reason this isn’t higher is because the ice cream flavor itself is only vanilla.

2. Now for the second best ice cream flavor is brownie batter. This flavor is mostly for chocolate lovers, which I am. It’s a super rich flavor that has chunks of brownie or swirls of brownie batter mixed in. If you ever wanted to eat the brownie batter right out of the bowl then brownie batter is the next best thing.

1.The number one best ice cream flavor is blueberry cheesecake. This is probably a hot take but it is my absolute favorite. It is creamy, sweet, and fruity. It has all the flavors that you could possibly want in an ice cream. The blueberry pieces give it some tartness and the cheesecake chunks make the ice cream have the perfect texture. It is the perfect blend which makes it number one on my list!
