The Recruit by Milling Galloway

I would highly recommend this Netflix series. This show kept me up all night wanting to finish it very badly. Owen Hendricks, the main character or his real name Noah Centineo, plays the main character role perfectly. This action-packed thriller was well worth the wait. It’s a CIA-based Netflix show that has a ton of great ideas. Owen, who just came from law school, decides to not join a firm. Instead, he becomes a lawyer at the CIA. He has to go on many adventures and most of the stuff he does are completely different from what lawyers would do. It also gives a decent look into what happens at the CIA. He meets an asset. An asset is a person from another country who gets paid or is blackmailed into exposing the secrets of a terrorist group they are in. Max the asset from a Russian mob threatens to release special documents that would be very damaging to the CIA. They send the new lawyer hotshot Dylan to go make the situation ok. He ends up doing many illegal things, but he gets her out of jail and everything’s fine. Soon enough he has to go back to Phonix to help her out. He doesn’t want to. The only reason he went was because his boss made him. I think that he ends up falling in love with her but later she dies. You never get to find out. I would compare this show to Night Agent. Although they are similar, I think the Recruit is way better. To be honest there are just way more action-packed scenes that drive people to want more. So I would give this show a nine out of ten. My reasoning is just that there are many girls Owen has had feelings for. You think he just met the love of his life, but he meets another girl he likes. His roommate Hannah also dated him and you can easily tell the tension in the room. She even chases him to Geneva Switzerland to try and see if he is alright. Before they run into each other’s arms he gets kidnapped right in front of her. The next thing you know she never wants to see him again.

What is the Best Streaming Service

By: Braelen Lewis

Netflix - App on Amazon Appstore

What is the best streaming service is a pretty hard question to answer because of the price and variety of shows. Of course the streaming services that are in the debate of the best are Netflix, amazon prime, Hulu, or HBO Max. Some people argue that it’s Netflix due to the good originals they make and others argue that it’s the cheaper price that makes it so enjoyable but in my opinion Netflix is not the best because it doesn’t have a large selection of shows like other platforms. Others argue that HBO is the best because of the great originals that it has like Game of Thrones and many others but in my eyes it is too expensive and although it has the good originals it doesn’t have access to a lot of the larger shows. Amazon Prime in my eyes falls short to number two on my list because although it costs quite a bit it has almost every show and movie that the others have with the addition of many great originals like Invincible. It falls to my number two however because yes they have almost every show available to watch a lot of the good ones cost extra to either rent or buy the rights to watch it. My number one streaming service is Hulu because although it doesn’t have many good originals they have like every show and movie available and I know that it isn’t really fair to the other services but Hulu is connected with Disney Plus and HBO, so you can pay extra and watch everything available on Hulu while also having access to every Disney piece and HBO originals. Although technically not everyone that has Hulu has access to HBO and Disney since it is an option through the app I’m counting it. This is why Hulu is the best choice for all new gen’s when it comes to deciding which streaming service to buy this is due to the fact that people could save so much money by just watching shows through Hulu with the addition of the add ons this would make it where people won’t have to waste money on other streaming services.

Gossip Girl Review

By: Morgan Aycock

Gossip Girl is a series streaming on Netflix, Hulu, Prime and many more. I recently started watching it because they added it to Netflix. I have only been watching it for a few weeks, and it is already my favorite show that I’ve watched in a while. It is the perfect show to watch because you feel like you are actually there and can escape reality. There are 6 seasons and I’m only on season 1, but there is always something going on. It is located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. Every episode features a fancy, rich party, usually leading into a scandal or fight between everyone. Although it seems like their rich lives are picture perfect, watchers quickly find out they are far from perfect. The actual Gossip Girl is a secret narrator and blogger that shares all the gossip by sending everyone text messages with gossip and pictures. The two main characters, Serena Van Der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf are complete opposite “best friends,” but have petty fights and rivalries all the time, causing their friend group to separate. Serena recently came back from boarding school when the series started because she got kicked out of boarding school for partying too much. Nate Archibald is Blair’s boyfriend, but secretly in love with Serena. Mostly everyone is from an extremely wealthy family, except Dan and Jenny Humphrey; Dan is Serena’s boyfriend. Serena and Dan’s parents had a secret love affair that no one knows about, but found out at the Thanksgiving table. Dan’s mom was present, which recently came back in town from “leaving for the summer,” but actually had an affair. Chuck Bass is another character, the richest of them all. He truly doesn’t care about anything except getting with girls and money.

Was This Even a Fight?

By: Tyler Jordan

This past weekend, the biggest Boxing fight happened with over 60 MIllion viewers watching on netflix. Jake Paul (10-1) vs one of the best ever Mike Tyson( 50-6) but was it worth watching and paying for it. In my opinion, it wasn’t because the fights before were 10 times better, but I’ll  break it down round by round and tell you what i think.

Round 1- They both started off slow playing passive and werent really throwing many punches and wasting energy which i thought was smart especially when Mike tyson is almost 60 he needs to save energy.

Round 2- Jake Paul came out more aggressive landing some good punches and started wearing out Mike which is smart that he didn’t waste all his energy tho.

Round 3-  They  both came out with a little more energy, but Mike found out he doesn’t have it like he used to and wore out quickly allowing Paul to lay some hard hits.

Round 4- They both went back passive but Paul was still laying some punches down beating on Tyson.

Round 5-  Tyson came out strong to start and guess what ran out of energy again allowing paul to beat up on him.

Round 6-  They both played passive just trying to save energy.

Round 7- Tyson came out swinging and landed some nasty punches but it was too late.

Round 8- Paul came out passive aggressive and finally defeated the legend Tyson

The judges came to the unanimous decision that Jake Paul won.

Personally, I think it was a waste of time and money to watch it. It wasn’t near as good as anyone thought and was a cuddling match when not fighting. And Jake Paul may have won but there 40 years apart I hope he could have beaten him.

Outer Banks

By: Owen Meyers

One of the most engaging shows on Netflix right now is Outer Banks, which has captured viewers all over the world with its exciting mix of mystery, adventure, and drama. The show provides viewers with a stunning visual experience, with golden beaches, beautiful marshes, and the deep blue waves of the Atlantic, all set against the beautiful scenery of the North Carolina coast. But the attraction extends well beyond the scene.

The exciting treasure hunt for a long-lost fortune at the center of Outer Banks has viewers on the edge of their seats. As the Pogues, a group of teenagers, search for the treasure while dodging risks at every turn, each episode is full of exciting twists and turns. It’s difficult to turn away from the action because of the high anticipation and ongoing sense of danger. Not only does the treasure search serve as a plot device, but it also generates a sense of excitement for each new episode.

The success of Outer Banks is also greatly influenced by the character dynamics. The Pogues are a group of friends from the poor side of the island, led by the outgoing John B. Their relationship is realistic, charming, and frequently humorous. Their friendship balances out all of the action and adventure by adding depth to their feelings. Also, the rivalry between the wealthier elite Kooks and Pogues offers a compelling sociological reflection on class warfare.

Outer Banks is a thrilling binge-worthy series because of its blend of adventure, strong character relationships, and stunning settings. It has become one of the most popular shows in recent years because it skillfully blends mystery, romance, and drama, providing something for everyone.
