Since I am a Varsity Cheerleader, I have a pretty busy day on Fridays during football season. I start the day off by waking up at 5. I end up getting out of the bed at 5:15 to start getting ready. After I finish getting ready, which is like 6:15, I get in the car and head to school. I arrive at school for devotion around 6:50, which allows me to take my time and help set up for football devotion. Devotion starts at 7:15, and once it’s done we eat breakfast together. After eating the cheerleaders pass out favors, which are usually pieces of candy, to our football players.
Once we leave, the senior cheerleaders go open doors and greet lower school students coming into school. At the end of the school day before the pep rally, we have to set everything up for it to run smoothly. After school we have a break until balloons. Every other week one group goes and blows up balloons to pass out for run-out, before everyone else gets there. We then all meet up and lay the banner out for run-out. After run-out, it’s game time! We cheer the whole game and do a performance at halftime.
At home games, we do a cheer and a dance, but at away games we just do a cheer. Fridays are probably my favorite days of the week because we get to have fun and show our school spirit all day long.
